Ingredients:

  • 4 medium / large apples (cooking apples work best, but any you have is great), chopped into small cubes
  • 2-3 tsp. cinnamon (or nutmeg or mixed spice if you prefer)
  • 6 dates, finely chopped
  • 2-3 tbsp. of honey (optional)
  • 6-8 tbsp. filtered water

Directions:

  1. Add the water, apples and cinnamon to a saucepan over a medium heat and allow to simmer
  2. Once the apple begins to soften add the dates and honey
  3. If apples are still not soft and water has run out, add a little more water
  4. Stir continuously
  5. Once everything is soft and cooked through serve as is or with cashew ice-cream, custard or cream
